Cleveland Cavaliers big man Andre Drummond is said to be okay with landing on the New York Knicks.
According to Sam Amico of FortyEightMinutes.com, Drummond has several teams showing interest by the March 25 deadline.
“Drummond would be supposed to be great with the New York Knicks,” Amico wrote. “Other teams allegedly interested include the Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers. Along with that, the Cavs have already spoken to the Toronto Raptors.
The Knicks suddenly have a need down center after losing Mitchell Robinson to a hand injury.
Robinson will likely be out of the roster for four to six weeks, leaving the Knicks with only Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson in the middle.
Drummond has had a strong season for the Cavs, averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
If the Knicks are interested, the Cavs could try to grab a draft pick or a young player in a deal for Drummond.
