Jesse Plemons to star in Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

Plemons will direct a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

Jesse Plemons joined Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in The flower moon killers, the big budget thriller that Martin Scorsese is directing for Apple.

The casting is a major coup for Plemons, who for years has anchored productions or stolen stages with his performances in supporting roles. And that coincides with the fact that he is wanted for lead roles not just by Scorsese, who he worked with in 2019. Irish, but also by Jordan Peele, who had offered him the male lead role in his latest thriller.

Plemons will play Tom White, the senior FBI agent investigating the murders. Lily Gladstone will play the role of Mollie Burkhart, an Osage married to Ernest Burkhart, who is the nephew of a powerful local rancher. DiCaprio is the nephew while De Niro is the breeder with strong hands.

Scorsese produces and directs Flower Moon ”for Apple Studios and Imperative Entertainment. Alongside Scorsese, Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas of Imperative and Appian Way Productions of DiCaprio.

Plemons, who has been playing since the age of three, has gained prominence for his work in the acclaimed cult television drama, Friday night lights and later as a villain in breaking Bad. His latest features include Steven Spielberg The post office and hit comedy Game night, and can currently be seen in Judas and the Black Messiah, which is creating the buzz this awards season. Movies in the may include Jungle cruise, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and a horror film Wood.

Plemons is replaced by TalentWorks and lawyer David Matlof.
