At least seven people were shot dead near a Philadelphia subway station on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Gunshots erupted around 2:50 p.m. near SEPTA’s Olney Transportation Hub and one person was arrested, police from the 35th District of the Philadelphia Police Department said.
Two victims were shot in the back, one in the ankle, one in the leg and one in the arm, police said. It was not immediately clear where the other two were injured.
Six victims were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and one to Temple University Hospital, officials said.
A suspect was captured and two firearms recovered, police said.
