Shovel Knight joins the fray in For Honor

Shovel knight, the indie platform hero with a set of blue armor and a distinctive shovel, has been around the block and has been in quite a few games. Now, the knight comes to Ubisoft For honor, or at least his armor is.

For honor is all about great fighters brawling with melee weapons, so fighters will have access to his big horned blue helmet, as well as a few more Shovel knightinspired outfits, emoticons and performances. These are all pleasantly pixelated, reminiscent of the Shovel knight artistic style, which is a bit anachronistic For the honor, but he still scores major style points.

Shovel knight has been strangely common as a cameo in other games, perhaps because of the popularity of the game. It – along with other characters from the original platformer – appears in Cooking, serving, delicious: Battle Kitchen, Road buyback, Rival Teams of Aether, Brawlhalla, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Knight, NecroDancer Crypt, Yooka-Laylee, and there is even an assistance trophy in Super Smash Bros.
