“I wrote it before #MeToo,” Valerie Armstrong said of her upcoming genre-defying AMC comedy series. Kevin Can F ** k himself today at TCA.
The series, which debuts this summer on AMC and AMC +, features Schitt Creek Supporting comedy actress, Emmy Award winner Annie Murphy as a sitcom wife, who enters the center of her husband’s jokes, loses her, and seeks to break away from the mundane of her life; the series alternating its reality between mono and multi-cameras.
Eric Petersen plays her husband Kevin McRoberts and Mary Hollis Inboden is his best friend Patty O’Connor, while Alex Bonifer (Hypermarket) plays Patty’s husband / Kevin’s best friend.
“We never have to hit anyone in the head with a message. We ask you to reconsider the woman you thought you knew. You knew she was happy and was going to be the butt of the prank all the time, but she’s really pissed off and ready for something else. I want the show to speak for itself in this regard, ”Armstrong said.
“I can only hope that women can relate to this and we can get past the things that are relatable,” the creator and EP said of how the show touches a nerve.
