1 dead and 3 injured after bowling in East Norriton, Pennsylvania

EAST NORRITON, Pa. (WPVI) – One person died and three others are injured after gunfire erupted at a bowling alley in Montgomery County, Pa. On Saturday night.

This happened around 7 p.m. in Our Town alley, formerly Facenda Whitaker Lanes, located in the 2900 block of Swede Road in East Norriton.

“Everyone just started screaming and running and going out the door,” Gabriella Williams said.

Police confirm that one person died in the shooting. Three other victims were taken to a hospital in the region. There is no immediate word on their terms.

The bowling alley is inside the same building as a laser marking area where a family with young children immediately rushed to hide in a mechanical room with an employee.

“We heard screams and screams after the fact, once we got out of the laser tag room,” said Natalie Abell.

Police also said there could be more victims who were transported by private vehicles.

Many say they come here every weekend and are horrified by the shooting.

“It’s scary, it’s overwhelming. I’ll never be the same after this,” added Williams.

We still don’t know what triggered the gunfire. East Norriton Police said the shooting may have started after an argument between two groups of people.

Authorities have secured the scene but say the suspects were able to escape.
