Long duration Wheel of Fortune Host Pat Sajak found himself in hot water after Monday’s show to make fun of a contestant. Sajak has recently been criticized by fans for his unique style of condescending comedy, which some deem too mean-spirited.
During player introductions, Sajak mimicked competitor Chris Brimble’s speech barrier. Brimble has a lisp. After describing what he does for a living, instead of saying “I see”, Sajak said, “I love you”.
While the joke elicited a few laughs from members of the production and off-camera contestants, some fans weren’t laughing. Several viewers took to Twitter to share their dismay and disappointment at Sajak’s comment.
So … has anyone else noticed that Pat Sajak is making fun of the lisp contestants on Wheel of Fortune tonight? #Wheel of Fortune

Despite being teased, Brimble seemed to be having a good time and even came home with a good chunk of change. Although he failed to access the bonus puzzle, he still won $ 12,250. He’s even gained a few Twitter guardians along the way.
Wheel of Fortune is a syndicated program broadcast on weekdays. Please visit the fair to place for local time and channel listings.
