The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed on Thursday the 366 feature films eligible for the 93rd Academy Awards, which are scheduled to air April 25 live on ABC.
The total number of films is up from the 344 films competing last year.
This year’s list was compiled based on the changed eligibility rules implemented due to the coronavirus pandemic, which pushed the ceremony to its final date. For this year, the feature films were scheduled to open by February 28 at a commercial theater for a seven-day qualifying race in at least one of six metropolitan areas: Los Angeles County, New York, the Bay Area. , Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. Nightly drive-ins have been included as qualifying locations, as have films slated for theatrical release, but due to the lockdown made available first through streaming, VOD, or other broadcast.

Today’s news comes after the Academy released its presets on February 9 in the categories International Film, Documentary, Original Music, Original Song, Makeup & Hairstyle, Visual Effects and Live Action Short Films, Documentary and Animated.
With today’s list finalized, the Academy vote will take place March 5-10 and nominations will be announced on March 15.
