MTV forced me to quit The Challenge

Lolo Jones isn’t quietly leaving MTV’s “The Challenge”.

The Olympian made a long rant against the reality show after being seen leaving the competition on Wednesday’s episode.

“Mtv the challenge forced me to quit, and these are facts,” Jones wrote on Twitter Thursday. “I have never given up on anything in my life. Heck I’m one of the older Olympians because I didn’t stop I was sidelined before the show and told to make it sound like I had to go.

Jones, 38, left “The Challenge: Double Agents” after having a conversation with the other contestants and saying goodbye to him. Jones, who competed in the Olympics in track and field and bobsleigh, said she had to leave to focus more on training.

And this extra training time has apparently been well spent. Jones won the first bobsleigh competition of his career earlier this month at the IBSF World Skeleton and Bobsleigh Championships in Germany.

However, it’s safe to say that loyal viewers of “The Challenge” didn’t like her leaving the show. And so she revealed that reality TV is – gasp! – not quite real.

“There are so many secrets that are not known to viewers,” wrote Jones, who has appeared in previous seasons of the longtime show. “I hope people will remember that the challenge is not a real competition, it is a TV show. They don’t show the full picture but what is entertaining. So before writing hate messages, know that you are a judge and jury with no full proof.

“The good news is that if I hadn’t quit I wouldn’t have made the US bobsleigh team. I would have missed the cut team by 2 days! If I hadn’t been part of the team, I wouldn’t be world champion. So, in the end, God directs our paths. God knows how much I fought to stay after the meetings with the producers ”

It’s unclear why MTV would force Jones to resign and the network has not commented on the accusations.
