Wells Fargo Center has felt a sense of emptiness during the 2020-2021 season. The Philadelphia 76ers have been great as they sit at the top of the Eastern Conference standings and no fans have witnessed this due to COVID restrictions and Joel Embiid had to signal to empty the seats after big games.
All of that may change as of Monday, March 1, with the state of Pennsylvania now allowing 500 fans to attend indoor events. It’ll be a far cry from the 20,000+ the Sixers normally draw, but it’ll be nice to have a number of fans in the building for what has been an entertaining season.
Philadelphia is 14-2 at the Wells Fargo Center so far this season and there’s no doubt fans would go nuts every time Embiid has a big night or Ben Simmons throws a big slam. It will be good to have the passionate Philadelphia fans back in the arena.
