Netflix is preparing the debut of its next great fantasy series, Shadow and bone, based on the novel of the same name by Leigh Bardugo, which takes place in a fantasy world where a humble soldier and orphan (Jessie Mei Li) discovers that she has extraordinary powers. Written, executive produced and presented by Eric Heisserer, who wrote the Oscar winner Arrival screenplay as well as a previous Netflix mega-hit, Bird box, Shadow and bone is a promising new fantasy series from the streamer looking to follow in the footsteps of past successes like The witcher.
