Vanessa bryant caught the wind not everyone had good things to say about their late husband, Kobe, upon his death … including Evan Rachel Wood, who called him a “rapist”.
Kobe’s widow confuses ERW and others over comments they made about Kobe shortly after her passing in January 2020 – many of whom have spoken of his 2003 sexual assault case … arguing that his legacy was marred by the allegations and calling him outright guilty.
For the record, the criminal charges he faced were dropped after the accuser refused to testify. She then sued him and the two sides reached a settlement.
Of course, Kobe has never been convicted … and is presumed innocent in the eyes of the law – that’s exactly what Vanessa points out to ERW, in plain language over a year later.
She writes… “Your insensitive, libelous and slanderous fake tweet of 1/26/20 is vile and disturbing to say the least? An accusation does not make anyone guilty.”
VB adds: “YOU DON’T KNOW THE FACTS OF THE CASE”. She had a similar message for the film producer Abigail disney, who also branded Kobe a rapist shortly after his death.
I haven’t said anything about Kobe until now because I felt it took a little while before I weighed in. But yes, it is time for the masses to come out. This man was a rapist. Do with it. https://t.co/9jfZHSqnnQ

Abigail still has her 2020 tweet – which links to a WaPo editorial discussing the Kobe criminal case. Evan’s Twitter account appears to have been disabled. She still has an IG account, where she has been detailing his allegations against Marilyn manson.
Neither woman responded to Vanessa’s criticism.
