Tom Brady gave an overview of various topics in an interview that aired early Wednesday, his first since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ lively Super Bowl boat parade last month.
Brady discussed his state of mind on the parade, the legendary Lombardi Trophy draw and what his wife, Gisele Bündchen, told him after Super Bowl LV during an appearance on “The Late Late Show. “with host James Corden.
Corden showed Brady the viral clip of his boat-to-boat draw. The quarterback joked he “doesn’t remember it so well.”

“First of all, I wasn’t thinking at the time. It wasn’t a thought. It was, ‘Sounds really fun to do,'” Brady told the host. “Not to mention that when you get your hands on one of these trophies, there are a lot of really sharp edges on the bottom.”
“I found out later, if it had been an incomplete pass it would have gone down to 80 feet,” he added.
Brady also revealed that his daughter Vivian played a role in the viral clip. Just before he tossed the trophy onto an adjacent boat, she was heard in the video shouting, “Daddy, no!”
“She’s my 8 year old baby girl,” Brady said. “Who could imagine that an 8 year old girl would have the most sense of anyone in this whole area at the time? She is the voice of reason. Go figure.”
Brady also saw a clip of him being helped off the boat, which allowed “Drunk Tom Brady” to spread on social media last month.
Corden asked the quarterback if he was hit by sea foot or a bit of tequila at the time.
“A bit of both,” Brady said. “It was definitely a celebratory time. I’m happy to be on earth at this time.”
“I am happy to be surrounded by my colleague quarterback Griff [Ryan Griffin] in the right place at the right time, “he continued.” Who could have a better friend than this? Making sure I was so comfortable getting off the boat like this. “
Brady had reason to celebrate after winning his seventh championship in a dominant 31-9 performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

He told a story about his wife’s immediate reaction after the big game.
“Suddenly I see my oldest son running towards me ‘Daddy!’ and I gave her a big hug and I saw my two little ones and then all of a sudden I saw my wife and I gave her a big hug, and just like I did she said: ‘ What more do you need to prove? ‘”
Brady said he gave her a big hug and quickly changed the subject.
At the end of the interview, Corden asked Brady if he had had a chance in the NFL.
“To be completely honest, you don’t stand a chance. Zero,” Brady said.
“I might not do Tampa, but I could play for the Jets?” the host responded.
