Apex Legends Season 8 Adds Solo Queue Option

Apex LegendsThe new queue is made for the friendliest gamer – or just those looking to get in and out of a game with minimal hassle. Season 8 of Apex Legends packed full of new additions, from balance changes to a death trap filled with poisonous caustic mines. The coolest feature might just be the new queue system, No-Fill Matchmaking, which allows players to ditch their teammates and enter the game completely solo.

When players are in the lobby, a checkbox labeled “Complete matchmaking” will appear. This is the standard way of playing; if you queue alone, you will be matched with a team of duos or trios. However, Daredevils can uncheck the box, which means they will be a team of one.

It’s not meant to be the primary way to play the game – there will only be six solo players in any given game, and you can’t go it alone in the game’s ranked mode. Developer Respawn Entertainment suggests that the following scenarios are ideal for no-fill queues:

Focus on completing certain daily and weekly challenges

Warm up, let it heat up and take part in many fights

Take the challenge: can you win a match of Duos on your own? And the trios?

Explore the map and experiment with characters you’ve never tried before; Take the opportunity to learn more about the game at your own pace.

Season 8 update for Apex Legends Also includes a playlist called Ring Fury, where the walls of death are ablaze all over the map. Players can dodge those rings of fire or drop a heat shield to take damage and survive the flares. As the event continues, Ring Fury spots will become even more dangerous and common, so keep an eye out.

Water treatment has also been replaced by caustic treatment. This is a high risk, high reward part of the map full of traps and mines that can easily kill a legend. The Mirage Voyage cruise has evolved and Respawn hints that it will be “back when you least expect it.”
