Massive Huawei P50 Pro 5G Leak Reveals Crazy Camera Bump, More

Trump-era US trade sanctions mean Huawei is not the brand it once was outside of China, but it continues to move forward regardless and presumed returns Huawei P50 Pro shows that it continues to push the boundaries.

The Huawei P50 Pro features a ridiculous camera bump

Starting with a glance at the glass back panel, the leaky renderings show Huawei has chosen a massive camera module that appears to consist of two massive camera sensors, at least at first glance. Steve Hemmerstoffer, who leaked the renders, has no details on the setup, but the Nova 8 Pro may contain clues.
Huawei has equipped this smartphone with a huge main sensor, so some form of gimbal camera looks likely on the P50 Pro. The lower half of the mod, on the other hand, was used for the usual Nova 8 Pro extras, and with the P50 Pro that could mean a periscope camera, a telephoto alternative, and an ultra-wide shooter.

Flipping the smartphone reveals a 6.6-inch display with curved edges, incredibly thin bezels, and a super slim chin. There’s also a small, centered punch hole for the selfie camera, which means Huawei is ditching the dual selfie setup it adopted on last year’s model.

This is paired with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a stereo speaker setup at the top and bottom of the bezel, according to the information provided. Speaking of the frame, Huawei once again chose a metal frame, possibly aluminum, completely flat at the top and bottom.

Unfortunately, other than the fact that it should be powered by the Kirin 9000 and could be the first phone with HarmonyOS, not much else is known about the Huawei P50 Pro at this point. Rumor has it that an announcement could take place in mid-April, so it shouldn’t be long before everything we want to know is official.
