Hilaria Baldwin shared a photo of her husband Alec cradling their newborn daughter Maria Lucia after receiving the child through surrogate just two weeks ago.
The news of the couple’s sixth child sent shockwaves across the internet, after Hilaria, 37, had just welcomed their fifth child Eduardo in September, prompting many questions about the timing of it all.

Many were confused as to when for all of this, given that she was reportedly pregnant with Eduardo while moving forward with plans for another child via a surrogate.
She miscarried in November 2019 while trying for a girl, prompting many to speculate that the surrogacy decision had to do with wanting a girl or as a precaution since she lost the child at four months.

She had claimed to have been born in Mallorca, Spain, only moving to the United States for college, but it was later found out that she was born Hilary Thomas and was in fact from Massachusetts.
