An immersive and much-loved Van Gogh exhibit is coming soon to Mile High City. Known primarily for his surreal and melancholy paintings, Van Gogh has spent most of his life in isolation and depression. As we get to empathize with this legendary artist through our own experience of a pandemic, the installation provides a safe and colorful escape unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Through revolutionary technology, curators have been able to bring life and innovation to art lovers and communities in France, Canada and now the United States. Much like you would step out on a dark, starry night – the Van Gogh exhibit provides a platform where viewers are – in their own right – a part of it.
“You will be immersed in the works of Van Gogh – from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to his portraits and still life paintings,” says his website.

Half a million cubic feet of projection, 60,600 video frames and 90 million pixels bring Van Gogh’s masterpieces to life – immerse the spectators as if they were in the paintings themselves. With its brilliant design – the visuals are accompanied by the melodic soundtrack of the Italian composer – Luca Longobardi. The work of the Roman composer merges the classical piano with modern elements – creating a hypnotic sound.
In addition to its wonder and magic – the design of the facility provides sufficient space – ensuring social distancing. “Safety is our number one priority for all guests attending Immersive Van Gogh… With over 170,000 visitors to Toronto during COVID-19, and no reported cases associated with the exhibit since it opened, we are proud to live an experience where it is safe. at GOGH, “says its” website.

The exhibit includes works such as Potato Eaters (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Starry Night (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888). and The Bedroom (1889) and more.
The facility is currently running in Chicago, Toronto, Dallas and more with plans to open soon in Denver, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles. The exact dates and location of Denver have not yet been announced.
