Major cruise lines are planning restarts at various stages in 2021 with constantly changing news.
Here is the last one:
Carnival Cruise Line

Ships: Carnival Liberty and Carnival Miracle
Region: Bahamas and West Coast
Carnival Cruise Line is currently planning a resumption of service on June 1, with a hiatus in US operations extended until May 31.
In January, the brand also announced major deployments and schedule changes for a few ships.
Royal Caribbean International
First navigation: In service
Ship: Quantum of the Seas
Region: Asia
While the Quantum of the Seas is already back in service in Asia, Royal Caribbean now plans to offer cruises from Haifa with the new Odyssey of the Seas. Starting in June, the ship will offer two- to seven-night itineraries to Greece and Cyprus from Haifa. Cruises are reserved for Israeli passengers and are scheduled until October.
Globally, the break in operations was recently extended to include all cruises through May 31.
Crystal cruises

Ship: Crystal Serenity
Region: Bahamas
Crystal Cruises is on its way to becoming the first major cruise line to restart service in North America. The luxury brand recently announced plans to operate the Crystal Serenity from Nassau and Bimini, with an itinerary entirely in the Bahamas.
The new seven-night cruise program kicks off in July and is expected to run until at least October.
MSC Cruises

Ship: MSC Grandiosa
Region: Mediterranean
One of the first major cruise lines to welcome guests again, MSC Cruises operates in the Mediterranean with MSC Grandiosa. Offering an itinerary with visits to Italy and Malta, the ship is expected to be joined by MSC Seaside from May 1.
Meanwhile, the temporary hiatus for U.S.-based crossings has been extended, canceling all cruises until May 31.
Norwegian Cruise Line
First navigation: June 4, 2021
Ship: Norwegian Epic
Region: Mediterranean
In February, Norwegian Cruise Line announced a further extension of its break on duty, now affecting all sailings scheduled through May 31. Now, the brand’s first scheduled cruise is set to depart on June 4, with the Norwegian Epic. The ship departs from Civitavecchia (Italy) to five destinations in the western Mediterranean.
While extending the hiatus, the company also said it was continuing to work on a return-to-service plan to meet the requirements of the Framework for Conditionitional Sailing Order issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Costa Cruises

Ship: Costa Smeralda
Region: Western Italy
Costa Cruises is about to resume service on March 27, with a new program in the Mediterranean. The Costa Smeralda will be the first ship to welcome guests again, with three, four and seven-night cruises to Italian ports to begin.
From May, the Costa Luminosa is expected to start sailing to Italy and Croatia, while Smeralda is expected to add stopovers in France and Spain to its itineraries.
Over the past year, Costa has reactivated a total of three vessels, but was forced to suspend all operations again in December.
Disney cruise line

Ship: Disney Dream
Region: Bahamas
In line with other American operators, Disney Cruise Line has canceled all its operations until May 31. Now, the Disney Dream could welcome its guests on June 4 for a three-night cruise to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral.
After returning its ships to the United States in November, the brand also canceled additional cruises on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic, which were to operate in Alaska and Europe.
Princess Cruises
First crossings: July 1, 2021
Ships: Diamond Princess and Ruby Princess
Region: Japan and West Coast
Princess Cruises recently extended its global operational break to include all crossings until June 30. With this change, the first crossings planned for the brand’s fleet are scheduled to depart on July 1, in Asia and on the west coast.
While cruises have been canceled further afield in some destinations, Princess also plans to offer new domestic crossings into the UK. Exclusive to local residents, crossings are expected to begin in late summer on Regal Princess and Sky Princess.
Genting Cruise Lines
First crossings: In service
Ships: World Dream and Explorer Dream
Region: Asia – Singapore and Taiwan
In February, Dream Cruises extended its short cruise program in Singapore until June 27. On board the World Dream, cruises are intended for the local public and have been operating since November.
The Explorer Dream, meanwhile, has been sailing island-hopping itineraries in Taiwan since July.
AIDA Cruises
First navigation: March 20
Ship: AIDAperla
Region: Canary Islands
While cruises to other destinations have been canceled until mid-May, AIDA Cruises plans to resume service to the Canaries later this month.
On March 20, AIDAperla will start offering a weeklong itinerary on the Spanish archipelago.
Celebrity cruises

Ship: Celebrity Infinity
Region: Eastern Mediterranean
In line with the other brands of the Royal Caribbean group, Celebrity Cruises this month extended the suspension of navigation for its global fleet. From now on, all crossings up to May 31st are canceled.
The first cruise currently scheduled for the company’s fleet starts in June. On that date, the Celebrity Infinity must sail from Venice to Turkey and the Greek Islands.
Holland America Line
First navigation: July 1
Ship: Volendam
Region: Mediterranean
After reducing Mediterranean crossings until June, Holland America Line could resume service on July 1 with the Volendam.
Other summer routes to Alaska and Canada / New England are in doubt after Canada’s extended ban on cruise ships.
TUI Cruises

Vessels: Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2
Region: Canary Islands
With a program in Northern Europe, TUI Cruises was one of the first cruise lines to start sailing on July 23. Currently, the German brand operates in the Canaries, with the Mein Schiff 2 as well as the Mein Schiff 1.
Windstar Cruises
First navigation: June 10
Ship: Wind Spirit
Region: Tahiti
In February, Windstar Cruises presented a new plan to return its fleet to service. Now, the company plans to welcome its guests on June 10, with a Tahiti cruise aboard the Wind Spirit.
Azamara
First navigation: July 10
Ship: Azamara Pursuit
Region: Eastern Mediterranean
Now an independent brand, Azamara recently extended its operational break to include all crossings until June 30. With this change, the company could resume operations on July 10, with the Azamara Pursuit in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Azamara’s new ship, the current Pacific Princess, however, is expected to be in service in 2022.
Silversea Cruises

Region: Kimberley, Australia
Silversea Cruises has canceled all of its cruises until May 27. The Royal Caribbean luxury brand now intends to resume service on May 28 with the Silver Explorer. On that day, the expedition ship is to embark on a nine-night cruise to Australia’s Kimberly region.
Virgin Voyages
First navigation: July 1
Ship: Scarlet Lady
Region: Caribbean
Virgin’s inaugural cruise is currently scheduled for July 1, with all 2,770 Scarlet Lady guests sailing from Miami to the Caribbean.
The brand’s second vessel also saw its introduction delayed. The Valiant Lady has had its Mediterranean season postponed until 2022 and is now set to debut on November 14 in the Caribbean.
