NEW YORK – A 37-year-old woman from Queens suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head after being caught between crossfire by two conflicting gangs, police sources told The Post.
Gudelia Vallinas was killed in the Woodside Houses around 8:15 p.m. Friday, at the intersection of Broadway and 48th Street.
Police received a 911 call from a resident of the social housing complex, claiming that around five or six teenagers from two groups were exchanging gunshots as they chased each other through the building, sources said.

As the shooting spread to the streets, the innocent bystander became an unwitting target.
The victim lived nearby on 48th Street; she was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.
“I heard the shots, like 5 or 6 shots. I hear someone screaming that there is a lady on the ground,” Witness Zal Alradai said.

“And then I got out, and all I could see was blood on the floor.” It was so loud, all I heard was pop, pop, pop, pop, pop… it was amazing. said the witness.
A neighbor who heard the gunshots blamed the violence on the city’s controversial bail reform measure.
