For those who believed love was dead once celebrity couple Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were reported to have broken up, there’s good news for all of you today. The two have reportedly not ended their relationship and are currently trying to figure things out, according to a joint statement.
“All reports are inaccurate. We are working on some things,” the statement read, per USA Today.
The statement was released on Saturday, just a day after media outlets such as Page Six and TMZ independently reported that the couple had shut down their activities. Those reports indicated that the cause of the split was Rodriguez’s video chat with reality TV star Madison LeCroy, which added to the issues that already existed.
“Jennifer was really embarrassed,” a source told Page Six.
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in 2019 after two years of dating. There were wedding plans for the two, but these were canceled twice, according to Lopez, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Their last public appearance was the inauguration of President Joe Biden. Lopez was a performer at the event and sang a mix of “This Land is Your Land”, “America the Beautiful” and her own hit “Let’s Get Loud”.
