For a while, the biggest cinematic story of 2020 was which movies were not coming out, as the pandemic closed theaters and missed the release dates of some of the biggest potential blockbusters of the year (see you later, Black Widow and No time to diehopefully) and the most popular bait (or is there another reason Spielberg made a remake West Side Story?). But no more, because it turns out a lot of good movies came out again last year – and a lot of them just got Oscar nominations.

Yes, Hollywood’s annual celebration of mutual admiration is still going on, although things are a little different this year. Prizes will not be awarded until April 25, last moment of the year for an Oscar ceremony since 1932. Some films not released before 2021 will still be eligible, such as the Academy changed the eligibility window and removed restrictions requiring theatrical release.

But the biggest difference between this Oscar year and any other is that you can easily (if not necessarily cheap) see most of the nominees right now, without leaving your home. No more waiting around for that art house’s release to maybe hit the biggest city near you, or have your favorite director’s next masterpiece air on HBO – thanks to COVID, almost whatever is up for a price this year is streaming somewhere right now. Heck, the most honored film of the year, Mank (10 nominations) same created on Netflix.

Here’s where to stream the nominees for the major categories of the 2021 Oscars.
