PlayStation Communities, a service I didn’t even know existed, is disappearing

This week marks the first and last time I hear about PlayStation Communities, a service that apparently allows users to hang out in custom forums / discussion groups on the PS4. and talk about specific things.

Passing the news around here, only a few colleagues had even been aware of its existence, let alone using it, but hey, maybe you played a game with a very specific community or communication need and triggered it from time to time.

If so, sorry, from April it will no longer be supported on the PS4. You will need to find another way to communicate online. Presumably one of the ways the rest of us have been doing all this time?

(More seriously, if you’ve used this service a lot, tell us about it in the comments, I’d really like to know what makes it such a good choice for a particular user / game / community).
