Kim Zolciak Biermann talks about her own plastic surgery journey while trying to help her teenage daughter to accept it.
The first of Sunday's season Do not be late, the Real Atlanta Housewives alum became real when her 16-year-old daughter, Ariana, struggled with her body image to choose a ball gown.
The teenager confessed to having tried to improve her style game more recently, explaining to her sister Brielle: "I have gone through puberty. I think I realize that I feel prettier with makeup than when I dress up. Rather than just wearing basketball shorts. … I do not know why I never wore them. I just like eyelashes and my hair does. I am just a girl. I just want to be me – the most beautiful girl that has ever been. "
Entering home brought with her all sorts of new insecurities on her body that boiled to the surface when Ariana was looking for a prom dress.
"My ideal ball gown is simply having something that shows me more size, because that's just about everything I own about me," Ariana told the cameras. "It's horrible."
Trying to wear dresses created difficulties for the teenager, who collapsed on the shape of her body while she modeled the dresses.
"I look like a teapot," she cried, saying to her cajoling mother, "That's [a size 8 dress]! Your stomach is like a size 4. "
Kim responded by trying to comfort her daughter: "Yeah, because I paid for a stomach!"
"You are beautiful," she continued. "I love you, you are beautiful as you are, you must accept yourself."
"I really think Ariana has become more aware of her appearance. She is 16 years old. Nothing looks good, nothing is fine, "Kim told the cameras. "Oh my god, it breaks my heart. But it's time to encourage it. You know, believe in yourself. You are beautiful. Kiss him."
Ariana insisted that she did not look "skinny" in the dress that her family had said she preferred, prompting Kim to try the dress herself, revealing that she was not wearing a dress. she could not fit in the dress her daughter was wearing.
"My breasts are five times bigger than you," she told him. "I can not close it. So you think you are so fat? False."
The little cheering speech seemed to have helped Ariana, who said to the camera, "I feel better now that my mother can not get in because I feel so small and can not get in, so maybe we are not so different in size. "
With her pink high-top prom dress, she explained her decision: "Knowing that I can eat what I want and that my baby will not show me the food, that's what really helped me make my decision. "
