Respawn is always on the lookout for player feedback on how to improve the Apex Legends experience, and one of the developers has confirmed that a much-requested feature is on its radar: in-game leaderboards.

One thing Respawn Entertainment has always been proud of is maintaining an open dialogue with its fans. The developer has confirmed time and again that he enjoys interacting with Apex Legends players and taking their feedback into account.

While Respawn may not be able to implement all of its community feedback, listening to its players’ suggestions has been a big part of changing various features, like making Evo Shields permanent after they were introduced during the System Override event.

A frequent request is for in-game ratings, a feature the community has been asking for since the game’s release. As an update, Respawn has confirmed that the highly requested feature is on a list of things they would like to add.

Respawn is constantly tweaking Apex Legends based on player feedback, as in the case of making Evo Shields a permanent feature.

Upcoming rankings on Apex

In an exchange on Twitter, the developer was asked about his plans to implement an in-game ranking system. “RP (Ranked Points) rankings would be very helpful in determining [Apex] Predator entry [level] every season, ”one player noted in his question to the developer.

Respawn’s Chin Xiang Chong has confirmed that they plan to implement leaderboards in the game at some point. “It’s on a list of things we’d love to do,” the developer said, but also noted that compared to other features and requests, the ratings are still quite low on their checklist.

“It is ultimately a question of priorities,” they explained, before specifying that “in relation to, say, cross-play, [adding in-game leaderboards] was less of a priority. “

Crossplay is now fully implemented in Apex, so hopefully the leaderboards have moved up the priority list.

While some fans may be disappointed to learn that adding this system to the BR isn’t the first thing on Respawn’s to-do list, they can at least take comfort in the fact that it’s in. course of work.

This is far from the first time the Apex community has requested that this particular feature be added to the game. As early as February 2019 (when the game originally released), players asked the developer to add rankings. in the battle royale.

The feature remained in high demand among professional gamers and content creators. In a series of tweets from March 2021, content creator and pro gamer Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore identified in-game rankings as one of 50 different ideas that could improve Respawn’s BR.

While the developer has yet to confirm when the feature will be available (or what it will look like), fans will be happy to know that the studio is aware of the popular demand and is working to add it to Apex. so players can see exactly how they stack up against their opponents.
