Microsoft announced on March 9 that it had officially completed the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, in a $ 7.5 billion deal.

Following the news, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said providing exclusive games for platforms that support Xbox Game Pass was the main reason Microsoft acquired ZeniMax.

Microsoft recently confirmed that the March Xbox System Update includes fixes for “a lot of controllers getting disconnected” that gamers have reported over the past four months.

According to a list of known issues for the Xbox Series X / S, some users may have experienced “frequent disconnections” with the new wireless controller launched alongside consoles in November.

Xbox’s upcoming Electric Volt and Daystrike Camo controllers

Microsoft has also said it is working on a fix for some players’ lack of response with the new Xbox controller.

The company revealed two new Xbox controller colors last week. The Electric Volt controller will be released on April 27 for $ 64.99, while the Daystrike Camo Special Edition controller will be available on May 4 for $ 69.99.

The upcoming controllers are the first pieces of Xbox hardware to use post-consumer recycled resins, according to Microsoft.

“Both controllers will contain some resins made from recycled materials like automotive headlight covers, plastic water jugs and CDs,” he explained.

“We don’t expect any compromises from these recycled materials either, as our tests show the materials offer the same durability or performance you expect.

“We are delighted to take this next step in our commitment to waste reduction and recycling, while continuing to deliver innovative new controller designs.”

Earlier this year, Microsoft used a customer experience survey to ask Xbox Series X / S owners if they’d like to see the PlayStation controller features made available for their consoles.
