Elder Scrolls Online coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X in June

The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced is the next-gen version of the popular MMO coming to Xbox Series X / S and PS5 on June 8, 2021. The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced version will be free to anyone who owns ESO on PS4 or Xbox One, and this new version cuts load times in half (on average), adds a 60 FPS performance mode, increases draw distance by almost double, and much more.Those who want a “visual feast” in ESO will also be able to enjoy native 4K at 30 FPS in Fidelity mode.

There will also be reflections, shadows, improved depth of field, ambient occlusion with overall screen space lighting, updated anti-aliasing, and unlocked textures.

ESO: Console Enhanced was announced during the Blackwood Chapter preview event which will allow players to “expose the Daedric intrigues and tyrannical schemes that are consuming the region and [they] must discover their connection to the Prince of Destruction and his terrible plans for Tamriel.While Blackwood is a standalone story, its events will deepen the overall Gates of Oblivion narrative that will continue to unfold throughout 2021.

Also revealed is the all-new Companion System which will give players the option to choose between two new Companions whose playstyle will be defined by selecting their gear and upgrading their skills.

Blackwood Chapter will be released for PC on June 1, 2021 and will be available on consoles, including ESO: Console Enhanced, on June 8, 2021.
