There is no worse day on the internet than April 1, when people take the time to prank hapless sports fans on what is known as April Fool’s Day. And there’s no easier NFL franchise to choose from right now than Chicago Bears fans.
Chicago quarterback’s woes aren’t new, but the pain is fresh after losing trading for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The Bears made an offer – three first-round picks, one third-round pick and two players – but the Seahawks turned it down.
Seattle’s reluctance to trade Wilson also stems from the fact that they don’t have a replacement for him. And while the Seahawks have closed the door to a potential Wilson trade, Adam Schefter and other reporters have indicated that Wilson in Seattle is no guarantee in 2021, something to watch out for as the draft draw nears. NFL.
And if Wilson at the Bears remains a pipe dream, some people couldn’t resist a little April Fool’s joke to the detriment of Bears fans. The NFL Memes Twitter account shared a chart – which resembles the official charts from ESPN or NFL.com – which indicated that Chicago had traded for Wilson.
