For 1200 Vbucks you gea crash test dummy in a suit, modeled on the “Stonks” meme, with a portable rising orange arrow. “To the moon” is a popular slogan on the reddit WallStreetBets, one of the sites behind the dramatic rise and fall and GameStop Stock over the past few months.
The new skin was the first thing I saw when loading Fortnite this morning taking control of my screen with Diamond Hanz knock on a bell in front of some fictitious stock market results. What exactly is Epic or Fortnite having to do with the capitalist mindsets that have taken the world by storm and amazed us all at the collective madness of the Internet is not a question a mere mortal like me can answer. But why the darkest timeline that produced GameStonk and now produces the horror of NFT produce that too?
