Saweetie says the elevator brawl with her ex-boyfriend Quavo happened a year ago and has since “passed.”

Breaking her silence over the shocking surveillance footage released this week, the ‘My Type’ singer told Page Six on Thursday: ‘This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, when we have since reconciled and have beyond this particular disagreement, there was just too much. other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we’ve both grown since.

She added: “I ask everyone to respect my privacy during this time.”

In footage obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, Saweetie, 27, was seen swinging at rapper Migos.

The video then shows Quavo, 29, dropping an orange “Call of Duty” holster, the pair seemed to be fighting a bit, which prompted Saweetie to be knocked down to the elevator floor. It was not known if she had been injured during the fight.

LAPD has reportedly opened an investigation and could potentially turn the case over to the city attorney for possible criminal charges.

The couple quietly began dating in 2018, with Saweetie confirming their relationship on “The Real” daytime show.

The elevator incident took place in 2020, but the “Tap In” rapper didn’t confirm their separation until earlier this month, when she publicly hinted that Quavo had cheated on her.

The “Go Off” rapper then turned around and claimed Saweetie was not who he thought he was but did not deny the allegations of cheating.

Page Six has contacted Quavo’s rep for comment on Saweetie’s statement.
