Now that Natalia Bryant has entered the school of her dreams, her family is making sure Kobe Bryant will be with her daughter “every step of the way.”
The eldest child of the late NBA legend celebrated his acceptance to the University of Southern California earlier this week with a moment of ecstasy with his family and a personalized pair of his father’s signature Nikes.

Her mother, Vanessa Bryant, shared a cute video of 18-year-old Natalia jumping up and down after being accepted. His moment of joy came about 14 months after Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, 13, were killed in a helicopter crash.
“Tears of joy. I’m SO happy for you Nani!” Vanessa Bryant wrote on Instagram. “I know daddy is so proud of you. I’m so proud of you !! Your hard work and dedication was so worth it. You went through the most excruciating pain you can imagine and you have been successful. but I know they are here in spirit. We love you so much! “
Vanessa Bryant also showed off the custom kicks she brought to Natalia to mark her acceptance, posting a photo on Instagram of a pair of Kobe’s signature shoes in the USC cardinal and gold colors.
“Every step of the way,” she wrote.
She also posted a video of Natalia celebrating with younger sisters Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1.
“Congratulations Nani Banani !!!!!!” Vanessa Bryant wrote on Instagram. “If you hadn’t been accepted I should have stabbed those balloons in the spare bedroom and thrown it all away.” 😩😩 Thank god you came in 😃❤️🤞🏽 I had these shoes made for @nataliabryant in hope she would get into her best school. “Dad and Gigi are ALWAYS here. Forever and always Principessa.”
Kobe Bryant went straight from high school to the NBA, so he never had any college experience, but he has a connection to USC.
