Senator Joe Manchin, DW.Va., has pleaded with his fellow Democrats for bipartisanship in opposing the filibuster murder – and his colleagues have had enough.
Senior Democratic Representative Jim Clyburn, DS.C., continued Manchin in an interview Thursday on the Democrats’ franchise bill. Manchin is the only Democratic senator not to co-sponsor the People’s Law, which Democrats say can only be passed if the rules for filibuster change.

Clyburn hinted Democrats could lose their Senate majority over Manchin.

“Passing legislation of this magnitude on a partisan basis may generate short-term benefits, but will inevitably only exacerbate the distrust millions of Americans have against the US government,” he added.
