The MacBook Pro concept imagines an edge-to-edge OLED screen, face ID, and more. [Video]

After Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will update the MacBook Pro this year and present a new 16-inch model, a new video concept by Viktor Kadar shows what a reshaped MacBook Pro might look like. Kadar imagines a design from one edge to the other with rounded corners and more.

This incredibly upbeat concept describes a range of 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro with an almost no-bezel OLED design. The screen presented here presents rounded angles similar to those of the iPhone X and the refreshed iPad Pro.

Kadar also imagines an "invisible" face identification system in which all sensors are hidden behind the screens. With this design, you benefit from a facial recognition technology without compromising the display edge-to-edge.

As far as the keyboard is concerned, this concept replaces the traditional butterfly keyboard with a new "shape memory alloy" design. This looks like the iPad Pro Smart Key keyboard design, but the keys are still separate and offer "more key stability and accuracy" than current MacBook keyboards.

This concept is certainly optimistic, but it is a good example of what the MacBook Pro might look like if Apple continued its trend of end-to-end design with the Mac family.

Yesterday, Apple's trustworthy investor, Ming-Chi Kuo, issued a new note to investors in which he predicts a MacBook Pro line with a "brand new design" and a new 16-inch screen. One possibility is that with a reduction in bezel size, the current 15-inch MacBook Pro can theoretically reach 16 inches.

See the full concept here and watch a video below. What do you think of this MacBook Pro design? Is this the direction in which Apple should go? Let us know in the comments.
