The Marvel Universe is shattered and it’s up to Loki to fix it, according to the latest trailer for his upcoming Disney Plus series. Marvel released the trailer for Loki Monday, and it looks like the show will send Loki from one famous moment in the Marvel movie to another.
The trailer begins by reminding us of where Loki is and how he got there. In Avengers: Endgame, Loki retrieved the Tesseract and was almost immediately arrested by the very awkward Time Variance Authority (TVA).
According to VAT agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), when Loki picked up the Tesseract, he accidentally broke time, and now he has to fix it. And it turns out that setting the time means traveling through famous MCU moments in what feels like a sci-fi and reality heist series.
During this single trailer, Loki visits a version of the Alternate Universe of New York City, where Avengers Tower, along with the rest of the city, was wiped out. He also appears somewhere that looks a bit like Sakaar from Thor: Ragnarok, and maybe even Pompeii? He even appears to be visiting Black Widow – a place that looks suspiciously like Vormir. And that only names about half of the refs that the trailer is filled with.
This latest trailer comes in the middle of the race for Marvel Studios. On Friday he released the last episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which revealed one of Marvel’s most famous cities. On Saturday, the studio released the latest trailer for Black Widow, ahead of its July 9 release date.
Loki is slated for release on Disney Plus on June 11.
