Remove the April 9 release date from your calendars, while Yacht Club Games revealed the next major update for Shovel Knight: a treasure – composed of Shovel Knight: The King of Cards and Knight Showdown with Shovel – has been delayed. This applies to the digital update, to physical editions and extends even to the three-pack amiibo.
In a message posted on its official website, Yacht Club Games announced that the delay would be several months at most. The goal is to have the new games on the map for the upcoming physical launch and make sure everything is out at the same time. This will require a little more time. A new release date will be announced when the developer is absolutely certain that the game is ready for use.
As this is not considered a significant delay, social media updates and websites on King of Cards and Showdown will continue to be shared. Recently, the team has refined the course design in King of Cards and enriched the Showdown experience with a story mode. The developer has also allocated time to test and locate the game in nine different languages.
