Where to find royal monsters in Monster Hunter Stories 2

Here is a list of all Royal Monster locations in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Once you leave the departure area of ​​Hokolo Island by Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, you will start to meet Royal Monsters in some places. These tough monsters will give you an early chance to get materials from monsters that usually don’t appear until later in the game, as long as you can defeat them.

Navirou will warn you whenever you approach a royal monster, so you can prepare accordingly (or avoid living to fight another day). These monsters are sleeping and will not attack unless you encounter them directly. We have a full list of every royal monster here, as well as where you can find it.

We haven’t had a chance to get the royal monsters to retreat from battle in order to create an egg lair, so this may not be possible with them. However, we’ve always included the method that increases each monster’s retreat rate in the table below in case we were just unlucky.
