A heated debate over who won a running race led to a triple shootout outside a Houston barber shop on Saturday, according to a report.

The bizarre shootout occurred as two men in their forties argued over the results of the normally harmless athletic competition outside of Mean Kuts at around 3 p.m., KTRK reported.

When one of the men walked away, the suspect opened fire, hitting him and two innocent bystanders leaving the barbershop, according to the report.

The man who tried to escape the argument was shot twice in the shoulder. One of the victims leaving the company was shot in the buttocks and the other was shot in the arm.

All three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to the report.

The gunman, named Trae, allegedly fled the scene in a Nissan Frontier, police said.
