Cardinals Draft RHP Michael McGreevy 18th overall

With their first pick, the 18th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, the Cardinals have selected right-hander Michael McGreevy of UC Santa Barbara.

At 6’4 “, 215 pounds, McGreevy is a 21-year-old who started college as a senior shortstop. It was after his freshman year that he moved to the mound full-time and it looks like it has paid off.In three seasons for the Gauchos, McGreevy had a 2.33 ERA with 194 strikeouts and just 31 walks in 189 innings.
