UK physics chart data is now available for the week ending July 10, revealing that Monster Hunter Stories 2 managed to take third place in its first week.
The game was overtaken by FIFA 21 (which is perhaps not so surprising given all the hype about Euro 2020), and Ratchet & Clank: Rift apart, which the latter returned to number one after a few weeks of absence.
The result means that Stories 2 failed to match the success of Monster Hunter Rise, which debuted in No. 1 when it launched in March. The game, however, tops a long list of Switch exclusives, all of which line up in the top ten, with only Nintendo games making up half of the table.
