A drunken man who was kicked out of a club in Georgia over the weekend returned and fired shots at the facility before plowing his truck in the bar, authorities said.

Eduardo Morales, 34, was asked to leave the bar in Hiram, a town about 26 miles west of Atlanta, around 11:30 p.m. Saturday because he was drunk, the Hiram Police Department said.

But Morales, of Woodstock, returned shortly after in his Dodge Ram truck and started shooting at the club, police said.

“When his gun was empty, Morales then drove the vehicle into the bar through the front doors hitting many customers,” police said.

Morales was kicked out of the bar for drunkenness, police said. Details of the charges he could face were not immediately disclosed.

The truck came to a stop when it hit the bar. The vehicle stalled and, unable to move away, Morales attempted to reload the weapon.

“My instinct was to run towards the truck and I dove into the driver’s side window,” witness Mauricio Puerto told FOX5 Atlanta. “I noticed he had a pistol and was reloading.”

Customers and bouncers rushed into the vehicle and pulled Morales out before he could fire more shots, police and Puerto said. They detained Morales, who sustained minor injuries during the teardown, until police arrived and took him into custody.

One client was shot and taken for treatment in a hospital after being struck twice by the vehicle.

“By the grace of God, no one got shot because he shot straight through their windshield in the bar,” Puerto told the station. “I’m just glad no one got shot.”

Morales was being held at the Paulding County Jail. Police have yet to release details of any charges Morales may face.
