Jada Pinkett Smith gets a makeover for the summer! the Red table The host just shaved her head and thanked her 20-year-old daughter, Willow Smith, for encouraging her to change.
“Willow made me do it because it was time to let go BUT… my 50s are about to be divinely lit with this shed,” Jada, who turns 50 in September, captioned the Instagram post and video.
Willow, who herself sports a matching buzz cut herself, called her mom “DIVINE” in the comments section – and that seems to be the consensus among Jada’s famous friends.
“Perfection,” wrote Lena Waithe.
“Gorgeous,” commented Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson. “It just shows that beautiful face and those moving eyes more prominently.”
Gabrielle Union dropped a bunch of heart and fire emojis.
Jada was obviously inspired by Willow, who (again) shaved her head over a year ago.
Willow turned the event into a piece of performance art. Her collaborator, Tyler Cole, cut the singer’s hair for 24 hours while she was locked in a glass room at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. It was designed to present eight emotional stages related to anxiety: paranoia, rage, sadness, numbness, euphoria, marked interest, compassion, and acceptance.
