Although the team has not confirmed it, a photo posted to a Twitter account of a Lightning fan appears to show the Stanley Cup sporting a major gash after a day of celebrations in Tampa.

A follow-up was posted mocking the Candians. It read: “Hey, congratulations Montreal! You have the cut for a few days after all!
ESPN reports that the cut will be sent to Canada for repair before being sent back to the Bay Area.
So far, there is no word from the team on how damaged the Stanley Cup.
