Khabib Nurmagomedov predicted on Monday that Conor McGregor’s career was essentially over after sustaining a leg injury at UFC 264 and that the star’s promotion from the UFC is bad for the sport.

Nurmagomedov, who is one of McGregor’s fiercest critics and beat him in the Octagon, told ESPN that McGregor has shown his true colors in recent years.

“Money and fame shows who you are,” he told ESPN. “All the time we hear that money and fame change people. No. When money and fame comes along, those two things show who you are. [McGregor] Finished? He hit an old man [in a bar in 2019]. You can watch everything he did and understand it’s like Dustin [Poirier] said, ‘This guy is a bag of shit.’

“I’ve seen a lot of tweets trying to support him. How are you going to support this guy? When the kids, the younger generation are watching him, watching this sport? If you want to promote your fight, promote it. If the MMA community going to support you these bad people, this sport is going to go wrong.
