The late Conor McGregor-Dustin Poirier stunned Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns.
On Monday, Towns tweeted that he was still baffled by the way McGregor broke his leg at the end of the first round against Poirier.

“I still can’t believe @TheNotoriousMMA broke his leg. This fight deserved to end differently,” Towns tweeted.
McGregor gave fans an update on his leg on Sunday night after suffering a horrific injury at UFC 264 during a fight with Poirier. McGregor lost the fight via a doctor-saved technical knockout, but said in a video that Poirier shouldn’t be celebrating the win.
“It was a hell of a first round, it would have been nice to go into that second round and then see what it is, but it’s what it is, it’s the nature of the business. It was a clean break in the tibia and it wasn’t, “McGregor said.
“Dustin, you can celebrate this illegitimate victory as much as you want, but you didn’t do anything about it. This second round would have shown it all. More and more, we are going as a team. We are dusting ourselves off, we are rebuilding ourselves and come back to us better than ever. “

The fight was meant to end the rivalry between the two, but the stopping of the first round didn’t exactly close the door to war between McGregor and Poirier.
UFC President Dana White has left the door open for a fourth fight.
“The fight didn’t end,” White said, via MMA Junkie. “You can’t end a fight this way. We’ll see how it all plays out. Who knows how long Conor is out, then Poirier will do his thing until Conor is ready.”
McGregor’s timeline is unclear, and White has declined to set a deadline for a fourth fight.
McGregor underwent three hours of surgery to repair a fractured fibula and tibia.

Poirier has promised a fourth fight “whether it’s in the octagon or on the sidewalk,” according to MMA Junkie.
