British Open 2021 standings: live coverage, schedule, golf scores today in Saturday’s third round

The stage is set for what should be a crazy weekend at the 149th Open Championship. It starts with a top leader in Louis Oosthuizen, who is going to have to try to push some all-time champions behind him, including Collin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka. What could be more convincing than that?

There are also excellent aperitifs at Royal St. George’s on Saturdays. Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy, both of whom are too far apart to really fight for the Claret Jug, will come out early and set the tone for everything to happen later in the day. Open weekends are normally pretty dramatic, and this one has all the pieces to fit in perfectly with the value of the past decade. One thing we can all look forward to this weekend at Royal St. George’s are windier conditions after the overturn Thursday and Friday.

Regardless, the last 36 in this season’s last major should be formidable. Oosthuizen trying to slam the door on his second major (11 years after his first!) And a host of major winners repeatedly trying to stop him from doing just that.

Settle in for moving day at the Open. It’s going to be a great one. CBS Sports will update this story with scores and highlights from The Open below. Check out the live scores at the top of this story, a more detailed standings, start times for Round 3, and our comprehensive spectator guide.
