Deontay Wilderthe bride of, Telli Swift, call Tyson FuryBS Directly BS COVID Diagnosis … revealing TMZ Sports the boxer is trying to buy time – because he’s not ready to face his man, the Bronze Bomber!
The Fury-Wilder Trilogy fight was scheduled for July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas – after Wilder went to court to force Fury to take the 3rd fight.
But, the fight was postponed … because of Fury recently positive test for COVID-19.
We spoke with Swift at an event for her nonprofit, WAGS Boxing Association, in El Segundo… and we asked her and Deontay to talk about Fury’s disease – and Telli didn’t hold back. “
“You trained so hard, blood, sweat and tears, then for someone to have the fight of COVID and Deontay with ripped biceps, broken fingers, burned arms, and he got always beaten, ”Swift said.
“So I just feel like with COVID and you have sixteen days to go to fight, he should still be able to fight and get there.”
In fact, Swift believes the 32-year-old heavyweight champion is trying to use COVID as a way to dodge Wilder … saying it’s just an excuse to give him time.
“I don’t think he’s ready. I think he’s buying time, and I just feel like he thinks Deontay is at his best.”
Of course Wilder and Fury fought for a draw in 2018 … and Deontay lost the 2nd fight in 2020 via TKO.
Swift added, “Personally, I don’t believe anything he says. So I don’t believe anything he says, and that’s it.”
And, you can forget that Wilder is boxing someone else while waiting, Swift – who got engaged to Wilder in 2018 – tells us he’s only focused on Fury.
“Deontay’s mind… he eats, sleeps, saw Tyson Fury. So he’s ready for Tyson!”
The fight ends on October 9 – and if you thought the giant heavyweights had beef before …
