Conor McGregor gets a ton of attention every time he fights. Just look at the list of celebrities Dana White juggled before McGregor’s sold-out return to T-Mobile Arena. The UFC president had set up a “Billionaire’s Row” for super VIPs. Former President Donald Trump introduced himself (but didn’t fucking do the show). Everyone cares when Conor McGregor fights. My parents care.
So was comedian Bill Burr, who had his own take on how McGregor and Dustin Poirier’s third showdown turned out at UFC 264.
“It sucks the way it ended,” Burr said on his podcast. “I was supporting Conor McGregor. I hate when an older one – he’s only 32 – but when a great, older fighter loses, I hate that thing where all those people on Twitter who haven’t fought since college like me start “Yeh, u got your fucking king kicked in the ass’ or something.

“I wanted to see this second round to see what would have happened,” he continued. “Everyone seemed to know what was going to happen, no matter what. This is the only time I can remember where it sounded like pre-fight hype and then … I like people who say “He went too far, don’t say things about his wife. . ” What are you talking about? They say all kinds of crazy things. “Oh, he said he was going to kill me. It’s like pffft.
