After seeing two late advances slip away in a series loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, the Atlanta Braves chose reliever AJ Minter over Gwinnett. Minter allowed two hits and two runs in just 1/3 of an inning in Sunday’s loss.
the #Braves chose LHP AJ Minter for Triple-A Gwinnett after today’s game.

Minter has been moving in the wrong direction for over a month now. He’s allowed 25 hits and 13 earned runs in his last 17 1/3 innings pitched. That spans 25 appearances and has seven walks and 19 strikeouts as opponents hit .342 against him during that streak.
To call Atlanta’s bullpen performance inconsistent would be an understatement at this point. Minter played an important role in it, but he’s not the only one. Still, he will have the opportunity to work on things at Gwinnett for now at least.
The Braves were going to need a roster change to add a starter for Monday’s game opener against the San Diego Padres. Kyle Muller is the favorite to receive this call and would be on regular rest while Bryse Wilson would be another option.
