The first season of Loki came to an end, but there was so much to enjoy and discover over the course of the six-episode Disney + series from Marvel Studios. Marvel fans were especially thrilled with the series’ penultimate episode, which featured a bunch of Easter Eggs ranging from MCU references to funny comic book nods. An exciting addition was that of the Thanos Copter, which was first seen in the 1979s. Spidey Super Stories # 39 when Thanos attempted to retrieve a Cosmic Cube from Hellcat and sprang into action in a one-man helicopter. In a recent conversation with For everyone Nerd TV, director Kate Herron explained how the Easter egg was born.

“I was so happy with all of the fun Easter Eggs we managed to fit into Episode 5. I can’t take credit for this as it was definitely a collaborative team effort. Like the Thanos Copter, Kevin Wright, my executive producer, that was him. I didn’t know about that, and I remember him telling me about it and I was like, “This is so funny. And they [Marvel] were like, ‘Yeah, we totally can.’ So I think it was really fun, and Throg obviously brought it in, ”Herron explained.

While fans were sad to see this season of Loki is coming to an end, the end credits of the finale confirmed that the series has been renewed for a second season. Sadly, it was also revealed this week that Herron will not be in the follow-up season. The show was originally supposed to be a limited series, so Herron is “already working on other things that haven’t been announced yet.”

After the finale aired, Tom Hiddleston (Loki) spoke to Marvel.com and shared how “grateful” he was to have another season.

“I’m so thankful that we were able to make Season 1, I’m still not quite able to figure out whether we can start over. I’m so excited for the possibilities,” Hiddleston said. “We’re already in discussions. Deep, deep, deep discussions. I can’t wait to get started.” He added: “I want to say thank you to the audience because without the audience we wouldn’t be able to do a season 2… I hope season 1 was full of surprises. And I think season 2 will be full. more. “

The final of Loki is now streaming on Disney +.
