Meghan Markle could face an ‘awkward’ reunion with the royal family if her daughter Lilibet is baptized in Windsor, a royal expert has claimed.
According to royal insiders, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lilibet Diana, could follow in the footsteps of her older brother Archie and be baptized in St George’s Chapel in Windsor in the presence of the Queen.
However, royal expert Russell Myers warned it would be “certainly embarrassing” as tensions are still “very high within the family”.
“It will definitely be embarrassing,” he told Today. “Meghan is not the flavor of the month with the family. True, the family always said that they would be much loved members of the family.

“However, we’re still talking about the fallout from the Oprah Winfrey interview, whether or not an Emmy nomination or not.
“Tensions are still very, very high within the family, indeed.”
A source previously told the Daily Mail: ‘Harry has told several people that they want Lili baptized in Windsor, as has her brother Archie.
“They are happy to wait until circumstances permit.”
The reunion reportedly follows Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive two-hour CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired in March, where the royal referred to his relationship with William amid reports that the brothers had fallen out following Megxit.
Prince Harry told the talk show host: “Like I said before, I love William in pieces. He’s my brother.” We went through hell together. I mean, we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.

During the interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said racism drove them out of Britain and claimed their son Archie was denied the title of prince because he was mixed race.
Meghan also claimed Kate Middleton left her in tears during an argument over bridesmaid dresses and Prince Harry has accused his father, Prince Charles, of refusing to answer his calls when the couple moved to the United States last year.
Russell Myers went on to suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly wanted to give Lilibet Diana a royal baptism shows an attempt by the royal couple to maintain their royal bond.
“Looking at the details, it looks like they want some continuity in their family life,” he said.
“Of course, their son Archie was baptized at Windsor Castle before they flew to establish their new life in the United States.
“However, when you look at him as well, what do Harry and Meghan have right now?”
“They really want to keep their royal bond and it will be a surefire way to make sure everyone is talking about them in the royal way.”
