Ohio State has changed its list of player representatives for this week’s Big Ten Media Days.
Tight end Jeremy Ruckert will now be one of three representatives for Ohio State players in Indianapolis alongside offensive tackle Thayer Munford and defensive end Zach Harrison. Wide receiver Chris Olave, who was originally scheduled to make the trip, will no longer be present.
No specific reason for the change was provided, but an Ohio State spokesperson said “everything is fine and there is no problem” and that Olave was at the Woody. Hayes Athletic Center for team photos Tuesday morning.
Ruckert is set to be Ohio State’s No.1 tight end this season after sharing snaps with Luke Farrell over the past three years. A true senior, Ruckert is one of the most talented tight ends in college football and is among the favorites to become captain of the Buckeyes this year.
Harrison, Munford and Ruckert will all meet reporters at Lucas Oil Stadium from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Friday, when Ryan Day will also have a press conference from 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. and an additional interview session on 3: 30-16:30
